Stop spreading lies, they did not abandon the game, they hired a new team of people to work on this new game, nothing has been diverted from Craftopia I just wish the developers didn't abandon it to work on Palworld. I just wish the developers didn't abandon it to work on Palworld.Ĭraftopia is a fun game don't get me wrong. You're capped at 50, when monsters go up to 84+.Ĭraftopia is a fun game don't get me wrong. The new armor/items they added to the game aren't even good. So much needs to be done to what they already have but instead they're just slowly adding "new items" to maintain the early access status of the game.

Their animations, character creation, UI, update existing models, change bioms to make them more fleshed out, enhance monster attack animations, create more variations of dungeons. Instead of attempting to add content they should polish what they already have. I don't even know what they're doing with the game anymore. The UI development is lazy, character creation is lazy, even the tile map system is lazy. Craftopia as it stands is a huge mess with a fun concept. You can tell how much more polished of a game Palworld appears to be when compared to Craftopia. My speculation is that they used Craftopia to fund Palworld.

Craftopia is in a sorry state after a year, and yes it was abandoned to create Palworld. Sorry to break it to you but these are the same people who made Craftopia. Hello, everyone In todays INDIE Live Expo, we announced the major update of Craftopia on June 23rd and the new under development game called Palworld. They get bored, start a new game, and abandon the old one. They've done it in the past before Craftopia, can't remember what game. Please tell me they aren't the craftopia creators? They have a massive habbit for starting games then abandoning them. I think I would be suspicious if I bought Craftopia.Originally posted by AlliedZero:They are referring to the fact that they abandoned Craftopia and left it unfinished so that they can make a new game. They say they have expanded their development team and continue to work on it, and recently created a roadmap for future additions and updates. With Craftopia still in Early Access, the developers have addressed concerns about the importance of the Palworld announcement for their previous game. If I watch the Craftopia trailer again, I’m happy to see that both are completely unpredictable but seem to be following similar beats. Although our Ed really enjoyed playing Craftopia, so who knows, Palworld might have an odd charm too. Pocketpair also developed Craftopia, a game whose trailer looked like Breath Of The Wild until you saw Pokémon, a WWI double decker, and conveyor belts dumping whole live cows into a giant saucepan. And when you put them in your factories, the developers say, “They will work forever as long as they are fed until the end of their life.” Oh no. However, the Steam page makes it clear that labor laws don’t apply to pals, which certainly is something. And while Pokémon has often mentioned poachers, in addition to poaching pals, this is where you can kill and eat them (though that’s apparently illegal?). While in Pokémon I use electric mons to help me fight critters that I catch while fishing, in Palworld you can throw electric pals straight into the water like a toaster. But while Pokémon have often worked alongside their human friends, Palworld sounds like a cruel extrapolated endpoint to treating Pokémon as tools.

You can make Pals fight, breed, help with farming, or. To help you with your chores, you can recruit pals, large living beings that are just Pokémon. Palworld is a game about living a slow life with mysterious creatures Pal or throwing yourself into life-and-death battles with poachers. You know the score: exploring, building, fighting, crafting, and so on. The developers Pocketpair describe Palworld as a multiplayer “open world survival crafting game”. We combined many features we find enjoyable, such as hunting, farming, hack-and-slash, building, automation to develop this game. Then … it’s a trailer with endless surprises, a wonder to see. Craftopia is the brand new multiplayer survival action game made in Japan. Then someone picks up his seedy pal to use as a shield in a gunfight. Soon you can see pals working in the fields, then in a sweatshop assembling new rifles. It takes nine seconds before you see someone hanging by their bird’s claws Pokémon Buddy while firing bullets with an assault rifle. When the Palworld trailer starts, it looks a lot like a fancy 3D Pokémon.
